Why to choose Anavy?

  • Anavy diapers have not been created with business in mind, they were created by Ivana, the founder of Anavy, for her own babies. Their creator, Ivana, developed the diapers without the usual constraints of product designers (like the lowest price of materials, saving on wages, time effectivity in manufacturing etc.). The main purpose was comfort, functionality, quality, material safety and good looks -- the best you can give to your kids. Even after Anavy became a business brand (or maybe because it), the same values remain valid, we might call them “as good as for our own babies”.
  • Anavy diapers are made in the Czech republic. The company does not exploit any workforce. Buying Anavy you support local woman-led small business.
  • Anavy diapers are mostly made from Czech fabrics or sometimes European, when it is not possible to get the required quality in CZ). By using locally made fabrics, we support the long tradition of Czech textile industry.
  • The fabrics we buy are certified by the European certification standard Öko-Tex - in our case product class I (i.e. for children under three years). Fabrics that do not have this certificate are tested in Czech laboratories, where we obtain certification for children under three years of age based on control parameters that exceed the European standards. We undergo regular check-ups from the authorities that confirm the compliance with all requirements. We think that it is not a problem that some of the raw materials for the production of fabrics are purchased abroad, because it is often impossible to produce them locally (for example, it is not possible to grow cotton in the Czech Republic). But what is crucial to us is how many percent of the final product's manufacturing process will take place, for example, in China, and how much in the Czech Republic or Europe. It’s because the production here is conducted with certain ethics of wages and working conditions towards the labor force (no abuse, adequate wages, health, social and pension insurance, paid maternity leave, access to education, equality for women ...). It is also ethical towards the environment (standards for wastewater disposal and for air pollutant emissions, waste material management...). All these factors increase the price of the final product. It is important for us in Anavy to sew our products from materials that, although more expensive, do not carry the burden of abusing people and harming the environment.
  • Anavy has been on the market since 2009, the quality is well-proven. Anavy is also well known for very customer friendly policies.

  • Anavy proved the quality and popularity by gaining top positions in Diaper of the Year contest. Anavy became the winner with the most votes across all categories in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The contest was held from 2011 to 2016 and Anavy was always placed in the top positions. Unfortunately, the contest ceased to exist in 2016 and there has not been any contest aimed at cloth diapers ever since.
  • Anavy provides consultant services. You can expect friendly and accommodating approach from our consultants. You might miss this service in anonymous corporate brands.
  • Anavy has a unique interactive “Diaper kit guide that will help you save a lot of time when deciding what and how much to buy.

  • Anavy does not push you into buying a whole diaper kit at once. On the contrary -- we support our customers in discovering the perfect diaper kit gradually. That’s why we developed a discounted “Test kit” so you can try all the diapers for a better price.
  • Anavy only uses well-proven fabrics, we do not experiment on our customers.  Every new fabric is thoroughly tested, not only in a laboratory but we also perform user testing  (like washing and drying many times in industrial laundry).
  • With Anavy, your baby's bottom does not come in contact with polyester, we only use bamboo terry as a contact layer for our diapers and inserts. The loops of our bamboo terry are made of viscose -- a material of plant origin. We do not use polyester fleece as a contact layer because many children may develop rash when exposed to polyester fleece. Another problem of polyester fleece is that it is prone to developing detergent or rash cream build up, making it water-repellent. That is not what you want from a diaper.
  • Anavy uses bamboo terry, where the regular polyester yarn is replaced with yarn made of recycled plastic. Together, we are helping to make meaningful use of the enormous amount of hardly degradable plastic waste. We recycle two plastic bottles for every diaper with inserts we make!
  • Anavy diapering system allows for a lot of flexibility. We provide several types of diapers and many options to diaper a baby, fitting any budget. You can go from an economical diaper kit for as little as approx. 150 EUR to a modern de-luxe kit for approx. 400 EUR.
  • Anavy does not use any unnecessary packaging that end up in landfill. We effectively reuse packaging material from our suppliers (cardboard boxes, plastic bags, filling material) to pack our own parcels.
  • Anavy also manufactures other “soft goods” that you will find handy. You can learn more about our product range in an article -- “Other fluff to buy at Anavy.
